Red Velvet White Chocolate Chip Brownies are irresistible.
Take a tray of these brownies in to your co-workers and brighten thier day.

Make lots and freeze them so they are always ready for unexpected guests.
Makes 24 brownies
4 ounces bitter-sweet baking chocolate
3/4 cup butter
1-3/4 cups sugar
1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 oz. red food coloring
1-1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/8 tsp. salt
3/4 cup white chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350°F
Line a 9 x 13 cake pan with non-stick aluminum foil.
Over a pot of hot water place a heat-proof bowl. Add the bitter sweet chocolate. Stir the chocolate every few minutes. Leave over the heat until fully melted. Once melted; remove the bowl from above the water. Place on the counter to cool to room temperature.
In a medium size mixing bowl mix on low speed the sugar and butter until it is light and creamy.
Slowly add the melted bitter sweet chocolate and continue mixing until it is all combined. Once all of the melted chocolate is combined add one egg at a time and beat after each addition.
Mix in the food coloring, and vanilla; blend well.
Slowly add the flour and salt mixing until all the flour is a mixed in completely.
Add the baking powder and combine.
Stir in the white chocolate chips only until incorporated.
Pour the brownie mixture into the prepared baking pan.
Place the baking pan into the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes.
Remove the brownies from the oven and place onto a wire rack to cool.
Once the Red Velvet White Chocolate Chip Brownies are cool lift the gently from the baking pan and place them on a cutting board.
Remove the aluminum foil and your brownies into squares.
Store either in an air tight container or covered with plastic wrap.
You may top with fresh whipped cream and shaved chocolate curls for a very formal presentation.
These treats will freeze well. Once they are cooled, and cut; wrap tightly with plastic wrap and place in the freezer until needed. To serve remove the brownies from the freezer. Unwrap and place on a serving plate. Allow to defrost about 15 minutes then serve.
